WARHAMMER - Ah, Jim-lad! – Sartosan Pirates Mercenaries by James Henley

‘Batten down the hatches!’

Over seventy percent of piracy and smuggling in the old world and further a field is down to Sartosans. Sartosa is one of the Tilean City-states, home to many of the Warhammer World’s most famous pirates. Although in the north it is thought that all Tileans are pirates, this is only really true of Sartosans, and as such Sartosa is known as the pirate city. Pirate ships of every shape and size are found in Sartosan ports. Unlike Brionne, in Bretonnia, which openly welcomes pirates and turns a blind eye to their dealings, Sartosa is actually run by pirates.

Sartosan Pirates on the Battlefield

Although not usually seen in large numbers, the Sartosan Pirates will often feature in an army as a single unit if they have cause to do so, normally attempting to make money using their dodgy deals.

The Sartosan Pirates Regiment counts as a special unit in a normal Dogs of War army. They follow the usual rules for use in other armies, except that only one unit may feature in a Bretonnian army and possibly more if the army is stated as coming from Brionne.
